Nanavati Associates traces its history to Mr. K.S. Nanavati’s independent practice which began in 1977 under the style of K.S. Nanavati & Associates. The firm, as it is today, was incorporated in 1995 on Mr. Nanavati’s designation as a Senior Advocate. The Partners and Associates of the firm have represented numerous clients before the Supreme Court of India, High Court of Gujarat and other Trial Courts, Tribunals and quasi-judicial forums.

The firm’s core area of expertise includes Commercial and Corporate Litigation, Labour and Industrial Disputes, Real Estate and Property Litigation and Dispute Resolution. The firm also specializes in Intellectual Property Rights including filing Trademarks, Copyrights and Patents as well as prosecuting and defending objections before various authorities designated under statutes. The firm has actively appeared in matters pertaining to Customs and Excise since Mr. Nanavati’s inception of the firm in 1977.

The firm also has a conveyance and real estate practice that assist its clients in conveyances as well as property ligations. Today, Nanavati Associates has a strength of 25 Partners and Associates with an additional support staff of 25 office personnel that assist it in being a full-service law firm. The firm boasts of several Senior Advocates, sitting and retired High Court Judges as its alumni and focuses on training future lawyers to represent their clients first as officers of the Court with sincerity, integrity and commitment.

Today, the firm is helmed by Mr. Pranit K. Nanavati, Mr. Kunal K. Nanavati and Mr. Rohan Lavkumar as Managing Partners of the firm. In addition to its core competencies, each of the Managing Partners brings a different perspective to the practice of law and seeks to represent the firm’s diverse clientele to the best of their abilities.
